CBD and neurodegenerative diseases
Myth or reality ?
Cannabidiol (abbreviated as CBD) is one of the main active components of Cannabis. Unlike the psychoactive element known as THC in the plant, it does not pose a health hazard and is well tolerated by the body. Better yet, CBD is known to be an effective neuroprotective, acting on neurological problems and intervening favorably in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
Among the most common neurological disorders are Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and Huntington's disease. These different types of pathology gradually affect the nervous system. In all of these cases, CBD is known to stop nerve cells from deteriorating quickly and to help neurons renew themselves.
