CBD and Parkinson's disease
Parkinson's disease, diagnosed in as many women as men, affects the central nervous system. As a progressive degenerative disease, it worsens over time and can cause death between 7 and 14 years after the first diagnosis. Whatever the causes of this disease, whether genetic or environmental, Parkinson's disease can be explained by a decrease in the secretion of dopamine, which acts on the neurotransmitter system. Results: tremors, muscle rigidity and an inability to control movements occur in the patient periodically or temporarily. To these primary motor symptoms may be added other secondary motor symptoms, as well as non-motor symptoms, the most serious of which is dementia.
CBD helps relieve the various symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Indeed, a recent study by Brazilian researchers has shown that CBD improves the well-being and quality of life of 21 diagnosed patients.
